Demand Congress pass bipartisan legislation to stop fentanyl deaths and protect families.
Because fentanyl is not about politics. It’s about people.
S. 1748/H.R. 6484 Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) is a common sense bipartisan bill that requires social media and online platforms to design software solely with children’s safety in mind. It strengthens default protections for minor children, limits exposure to harmful content, reduces addictive features, and increases accountability through independent third-party evaluations. H.R. 747 Stop Chinese Fentanyl Act of 2025 strengthens sanctions against Chinese producers of fentanyl and precursor chemicals, including officials who enable trafficking. It expands the definition of “foreign opioid trafficker” and directs targeted financial and other penalties against entities that manufacture, finance, or fail to stop fentanyl production. Passed by the House, it now awaits Senate approval. S. 2533 No Red Tape for Addiction Treatment Act amends the Social Security Act to remove Medicaid prior authorization for FDA-approved opioid use disorder medications. States must cover at least one formulation of each medication, including injectables, allowing patients to start treatment immediately and reducing dangerous delays caused by bureaucratic barriers. S. 2316/H.R. 6484 Cooper Davis and Devin Norring Act requires online platforms to report suspected criminal drug trafficking to the Attorney General, preserve related evidence, and submit those reports within 60 days. It also directs the Attorney General to publish an annual summary of reported trafficking activity across platforms, improving transparency and supporting stronger enforcement efforts. H.R. 780 Alexandra’s Law amends the CSA to require courts to warn defendants convicted of fentanyl or counterfeit-pill offenses that future distribution causing death could trigger federal homicide charges. The warning documents awareness of fentanyl’s lethal risks and may help prosecutors establish knowledge in later cases. H.R. 3130 FACTS Act improves school response to opioid overdoses. It authorizes HHS grants for state-education partnerships to implement evidence-based fentanyl awareness and prevention programs. The bill also strengthens research on adolescent substance use and establishes a federal interagency task force to guide overdose prevention efforts. S. 1074 Agricultural Access to SUD Treatment and Mental Health Care Act directs a national study of farmers, ranchers, and agricultural workers’ access to treatment and mental health care. The GAO will examine provider availability, barriers in rural communities, and effective state or local programs to guide federal policy. H.R. 2383 Protecting Kids from Fentanyl Act allows states to use Block Grant funds to buy naloxone for schools, train staff to respond to overdoses, and provide fentanyl awareness education. Schools can treat naloxone like AEDs: rarely needed, but life saving in emergencies so staff can act fast when seconds matter.
